Terms and Conditions for Africa Escapes

1. Introduction
Welcome to Africa Escapes. By booking our travel packages, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Booking and Payment

Minimum Group Size: All packages are designed for a minimum of four (4) participants.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package cost per person is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the scheduled departure date.

Late Bookings: For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by Client:

Notice Period: Cancellations must be finalized at least four (4) weeks (28 days) prior to the travel date.

Forfeiture of Deposit: If a cancellation is made less than four (4) weeks before the travel date, all deposits paid will be forfeited.

Refunds: Cancellations made more than four (4) weeks before the travel date may be eligible for a partial refund, excluding the non-refundable deposit.

Cancellation by Africa Escapes: In the unlikely event that we must cancel a tour, clients will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative tour of equal value.
4. Changes to Bookings

By Client: Requests for changes must be made in writing. While we will endeavour to accommodate changes, we cannot guarantee all requests can be met.

By Africa Escapes: We reserve the right to make minor changes to itineraries as necessary. Significant changes will be communicated promptly, and clients will have the option to accept the changes or receive a refund.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. Proof of insurance must be provided before departure.
6. Health and Safety

Medical Conditions: Clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate in the tour.

Fitness Requirements: Some tours may require a certain level of physical fitness. Clients are responsible for assessing their suitability for the tour.
7. Passports and Visas
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports and necessary visas for entry into all countries included in the itinerary.
8. Liability

Force Majeure: Africa Escapes is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from natural disasters, acts of government, or other events beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the total cost of the tour package purchased.
9. Complaints
Any complaints should be raised with the tour leader during the tour. If the issue is not resolved, please submit a formal complaint in writing within 14 days of tour completion.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
